Weekly Evening Group Hikes

The members of Alaska Outdoors host weekly hikes on Monday and Thursday evenings. These social hikes hit the trails year-round, with a different route each time. Come hike with locals.
Monday hikes are easier and follow wide, flat established trails of between 3.5 and 4.5 miles, perfect for beginners and families with kids. Thursday hikes are moderate difficulty. No advance registration required, just meet at the trailhead. The hike
starts at 6:35 p.m. sharp! $1 donation for non-members. Membership $20.
Baseball Season Opener

The Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks open their season against the Anchorage Glacier pilots at Lee Jordan Field in Chugiak. The Alaska Baseball League brings college level players swinging for the pros north for summer baseball.
Alaska Midnight Sun 7s Rugby Tournament

Watch the fastest growing and newest Olympic sport in a paradise-like setting overlooking all of Anchorage. Started in 1996, the Alaska Midnight Sun 7s is an annual elite competition series. This is the 23rd year of the tournament. The teams from around
the world play in 15-minute increments throughout the day until one is deemed champion. The tournament held in the world top five rugby field, The Alaska Mountain Rugby Ground. With 30 teams packed into two incredible days of action. Combining with non-stop
live music and a range of delicious food, no one should ever miss this tournament.
Alaska Run For Women

Alaska women pound the pavement in great force to raise funds for breast cancer research and awareness. Not just a race, this event unites serious runners and casual walkers in a spirit which inspires and motivates women, both young and old, to do something
healthy for themselves. The distances are 5-mile timed and untimed, and 1-mile timed.

Stay loose and fit with yoga on the Rooftop all summer long. This short session will include some flow, restorative, and longer yin yoga holds in various postures (asanas). Come with any special requests and expect something new each time. Free, but
