It’s official; there is an app for just about everything. In the chaos of moving, we have discovered the calm before the storm, apps. From packing to unpacking to sorting, donating and throwing away, there is an app (actually multiple) to keep you organized
throughout the process.
FlyingRuler –Is a digital tape measure, ruler, protractor and an angle-measurer. It is four devices in one app, providing you with the quickest way to measure a distance
or an angle. The Flying Ruler app allows you to measure most originally by just moving your device from one point to another. You’ll need this to help figure out where furniture can fit, like a couch through your front door or a bed frame up a staircase
Handy – If you aren’t handy yourself make sure to download this app. Once you have moved all your boxes inside, use the Hand app to find qualified cleaners or
laborers to assemble all the furniture and devices in your new home. The app will give you a quote from professionals in your area, and you can book and pay through the app. All professionals on Handy are insured.
Unpakt –This app allows you to create an inventory list using their easy planner. It will compare prices from local and long-distance moving companies in one screen.
You can easily change your inventory list at any time. You will be able to see reviews of all moving companies when you are comparing the costs. Once you select your company, you book directly on your app. Sit back and relax as your moving is handled
by someone else!
Sortly – Sortly is one of the easiest ways to accurately document everything in your home. The app has a moving checklist that walks you step by step through
the whole inventory process. You can create a visual inventory of everything you own, making it easier to see and decide what you’ll give away or keep. You can keep notes on each item, categorize them, and create QR labels to scan boxes to know what’s
inside them quickly. If you are doing the moving all on your own, this App is the assistant you need!
