The weather this time of year permits an opportunity for outdoor or indoor home projects. If you are looking for a change to your interior or exterior but don’t want to spend a lot of money or time on the projects, we have just the ideas for you!
In the Kitchen – Kitchen renovations tend to be the most expensive of any upgrades in your house. But we’ve found a few that will not empty your wallet but still
make an effect on the appearance of your kitchen.
Repaint Cabinets– A new coat of paint goes a long way. You can choose whether it’s a fresh coat or a new color altogether. Maybe a new color is a change your kitchen needs!
Add New Cabinet Handles– The difference in a bronze and silver cabinet handle is more significant than you’d expect. It can completely change the look of your cabinets. So, after you choose
a paint color to decide what color handles you’d like to add to match.
Update Seating– If you have a high countertop or island in your kitchen that you have tall chairs or barstools around, update your seating. Either by replacing or repainting them, it can
again change the look of your kitchen.
In the Bathroom
New towels– Its good hygiene to replace your towels every so often because even the best washing machines can’t keep them in prime condition after months of use. We suggest buying bright,
bold towels for the springtime, that are easy to move into storage for the winter months. A bright orange fits both spring and autumn so that the towels could be used for more than one season. Or, find a pattern you love to compliment your solid colored
walls. (see fresh paint below!)
Repaint the walls– A fresh coat of paint to match your towels is the fresh start your bathroom needs. Keep the color calm and neutral such as a light blue, tan or white and have your towels
be the items that pop.
Paint the Front Door– Consider changing the color of your front door this season. A new coat of paint is easy to apply and will dry quickly on a sunny day.
Add Flowers– Flowers are a symbol of spring. They bring bright colors and curb appeal to your home. Add them to your front step, around your mailbox, or alongside your walkway to improve
your curb appeal for spring.
Repaint Your Mailbox– Like your front door, your mailbox is easy to repaint. Add a bright color for the spring and summer. Even consider matching it to your front door.
