You don’t have to spend excessive amounts of money on Valentine’s Day to prove your affection for someone. And actually, it’s the thoughtful, none monetary gestures that bring joy and love to someone’s day. Here are a few inexpensive ways to show someone
you care about them on this Hallmark Holiday:
Make a Meal Together – Cooking your own food is much cheaper than going out to a restaurant on Valentine’s Day. Restaurants will be full this night anyways so avoid the crowd and have
an intimidate cooking together. Choose a meal you both have never made so each of you will be surprised by it!
Do Something Active Together – If you are an active couple, a great way to inexpensively spend the day is by hiking, skiing, or skating together. Since you are both active, you likely
already own the equipment for any of these activities. Don’t forget to pack snacks and water and head out on your romantic adventure.
Tourist Date – Spend the evening exploring historical and noteworthy landmarks in your city that you have never given thought to before. It’s always interesting seeing your city from the
perspective of a tourist.
Host a Party – Who says Valentines has to be spent with only your significant other? Maybe you already spend plenty of time together and instead
would enjoy an evening with friends. Invite your friends over for games and drinks themed around Valentine’s Day.
Go Offline for the Day – Presence indeed is the best present these days. In an era structured around technology, I’m sure you and you're significant other would appreciate a whole day
without the other being on their phone. Set your phone aside for the day (when work is over) and spend time together with no technology getting in the way of thoughtful conversation.
