The restaurant scene in Anchorage is slowly growing! All of these restaurants have opened in the last year or are set to open at the beginning of this year. So, if you are sick of your regular food spot in Anchorage, venture out and try one of these new places!

Turnagain Brewing opened its doors in July of this past summer. This new brewery is in midtown and is one of the only breweries in this area. It features delicious Belgian style ales and sours.

Seoul Casa is the new Mexican-Korean fusion restaurant in town. It’s unique in the fact that it creates Mexican dishes such as tacos and burritos, using Korean-style meat.

Mo’s Deli and Catering is another restaurant that opened this past summer. The deli tries to source as much food as it can locally and uses more Jewish flavors. It’s open seven days a week from 10 am to 8 pm.

Queen of Sheba is the first Ethiopian restaurant to open in Anchorage. It serves stews and vegetable dishes on sourdough and offers traditional Ethiopian cuisine. The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner from 1 to 7 pm.

El Green-Go’s is a new Mexican/American restaurant that supports local farmers by buying Alaska agriculture.

Chicken Shack is a chain restaurant that started in Michigan and has made its way to Anchorage. This family-run restaurant brings southern style fried chicken and biscuits all the way up to Alaska. It is comfort food at its finest!
