Led Zeppelin Cosmic Light Show

Hit the Trails Family Fun Run 5k
October 12, 2019: 11 am
Location: Trailside Elementary & Service High School

This is a fun family event that will take place on the beautiful trails next to Trailside Elementary & Service High School.  There are a 2K race and 5K race open to adults and children (no animals please). The race fee is $20/adult, $12/child (excluding day-of). Pre-order your (Tek) race shirt by September 20 for delivery by race day; otherwise, you will receive it 2 weeks post-race. Zoo Lights

The zoo is decorated with lighted animal displays – colorful, whimsical and even animated. Walk under canopies of light and check out the animals. GREAT ALASKA BEER TRAIN

Relax and enjoy the beautiful Turnagain Arm while tasting an array of brews and bites from Glacier Brewhouse aboard the Great Alaska Beer Train. Departing from the Anchorage Historic Depot on Saturday, Oct. 6, the train will deliver an Alaska-style Oktoberfest celebration filled with specialty brews and seasonal fare that fellow beer-lovers can enjoy together. Tickets are $182 per person and include a multi-course dinner and six half-pint beers. Additional brews will be available for purchase. Must be 21 or older to purchase a ticket. Design Week

Location: Anchorage Museum
Anchorage Design Week brings together designers and the public for a week of discussions, workshops, and events.

Design Week is Anchorage’s annual design festival and is organized by the Anchorage Museum. From architecture to fashion, furniture to food, Design Week features the best of the local design scene alongside international perspectives. The Alaska AIA (American Institute of Architects) Convention, hosted by the museum, is also taking place during Design Week.
