Why Fall is an Underrated Time to Sell
September 4, 2018 |
Reason #1: Serious buyers. Fall buyers are serious buyers. With school starting, summer ending and winter on its way, only
people serious about moving will be looking for homes. Before the holidays and cold weather hit, these buyers want to be settled in their new home.
Reason #2: Less competition. Spring and summer are known for being the most popular times of the year to sell a home. That’s
why it’s all the better to sell in the fall. You will have less competition, because there is a smaller inventory on the market. A smaller inventory will give your home an advantage it wouldn’t have had during the busy summer months.
Reason #3: Natural curb appeal. In our opinion, fall is the most scenic season in Alaska. Leaves changing colors, fresh green
grass, and the crisp fall air will organically boost the curb appeal of your home. Just make sure to keep you yard in shape by mowing your yard and raking leaves, but let the natural seasonal changes do the rest!
Reason #4: Great weather for home improvements. Fall brings mild weather. It’s a great time for home improvement projects
that won’t be affected by the heat or cold. Whether it’s giving your yard or siding, fall will provide great weather to complete these home improvement projects.
Great photos. Quality photos of your home are essential for selling your house online. Almost all homes being sold have an
online presence. Coming off of summer, your yard is most likely at its peak. This is a great time to take photos of your home that will be most appealing to post online for buyers.
